VITA

My professional background is rooted in arts education and academic research. Alongside my academic work, I have developed an independent artistic practice, primarily focused on printmaking and digital media. This work has evolved in close relation to research-based approaches to visual culture.

I hold a Magister Artium (M.A.) as well as a PhD in Arts Education, with a focus on Visual Cultural Studies, completed at the Department of Language and Cultural Studies, Institute of Art Education, Goethe University Frankfurt.

ARTISTIC PRACTICE

My work centers on printmaking as a field of artistic research and material exploration. I work primarily with serial and process-based methods. The traditional techniques I use (and often modify) are informed by, and developed in dialogue with contemporary digital image cultures.

Studio processes such as translating between media, engaging with the particularity of materials, and modifying and adapting established techniques in context-specific ways, form a central foundation of my work. They flow significantly into the design of my pedagogical settings and inform my scientific questioning and thinking in a sustained manner.
